I Don't Know (What To Believe In)

about

Needless to say the world has become a bit disillusioning. I've felt some titanic shifts in energy, lifestyle, and fuck, everything, in my life as of late. I'm not sure where it's all going, but I can tell you I'm both equally freaked out and excited at the same time.

Times have been difficult for all of us, in our own unique ways. So we often turn to our programs, religions, beliefs, dogmas, mantras, or youtube/social media stars for the answers on how to live and THEN we immediately pivot and push those newly adopted ideas or beliefs on each other and demand that people do life the same way! Then of course in 6 months or so you're out of that phase and on to the next?

Crazy, right? Well, turns out we humans are a complicated species. The truth is I/we really don't know what to believe in these days, except for maybe ourselves? It's where I'm at these days y'all, and I'm happy I can share the story with you. Just walk on through man, trust your gut as we say. Scary af, but here we go... so I'm asking you for 4 minutes of your time to check out this new single + video for a song that's been waiting to see the light of day for many years now...

**I teamed back up w/ director/editor Jeremy Christensen (jeremys-sea.com) along w/the help of NYC based graphic designers Matt Rockman (for smartbomb.net) and Scott Teplin (teplin.com) to see this new video through. We shot it on a VERY windy day at my home in Landers, CA, in fact, we almost cancelled the shoot, but then we realized it was exactly what the song/video needed:). luv when that happens.

lyrics

Yeah God is dead
Never alive
It's in your head
Another lie
You'll climb a mountain
But you gotta climb
And when you get there
They'll be no time

I don't know, I don't know, what to believe in
I don't know, I don't know, what to believe in

Another sky
Another mile
Put on your makeup
And crack a smile
We'll gather forces
Into the wind
No time to read or write
No time to win

I Don't know.... 2x

Yeah you might believe in Buddha
Or maybe Thich Nhat Hanh
maybe Hare Krishna
or maybe Peter Pan
You might go vegan
Or maybe gluten free
but one day you'll be eating meet again
just like me
I heard you went to Michigan
To play that open mic
Then you cut out early
And went for a hike
Drove around the country
Year after year
Just looking out the window
For you to appear

I Don't know ....
