One of the positives about this pandemic is that it allowed many of us to slow down and take closer stock of our lives. I know I certainly have. Getting off the road and dealing with this long lock down allowed me to take a deep dive into my catalog of hundreds of songs and demos. I happened across a small collection of songs that have never truly seen the light of day. Yes, they were featured on Myspace and even landed in some tv shows but I never officially "released them" because they were never professionally mastered. Well, I decided to finally do just that. In fact, I was quite fortunate to have them mastered by the great Sterling Sound and they have never sounded better! It's funny how some songs just need to wait for the right time to be let go into the world. I wrote these songs after my debut album, “The Ever Changing Picture,” was released in 2005. These are some of the most honest, vulnerable and exposed songs I’ve written to date and were composed during a rough time in my life where I was barely hanging on while living in Los Angeles, CA. Well, the time for release is now!
Please enjoy this 3 song EP entitled "The Valley Sessions" that was recorded in the bedroom of Swedish producer/engineer/ and full time bassist for Gov't Mule- Jorgen Carllson in the California Valley. Playing drums on the track was Swedish producer/engineer/drummer Erik Eldenius, who has been Billy Idol's full time drummer for many years. It was a fun and interesting collaboration, and I haven't seen those dudes in years, so perhaps we'll re-connect again for another EP in the future.
